The Minister of Culture and Tourism of Korea's Prize   In January 26, 2007, I was awarded "The Minister of Culture & Tourism of Korea's Prize" as the 1st prize of 2006 conferences of the Korea Game Society for my academic paper and conference presentation. This paper presents a method for real-time rendering translucent materials with a framebuffer subsampling, using the GPU.

The original paper has been presented at the 2006 Summer Conference of Korea Game Society, and a revised paper was published to The Journal of Korea Game Society, Volume 7, Issue 1, March 2007. And an extended version in English is published as my M.S thesis of Soongsil University in June 2007.

Another version is accepted to publication to The Visual Computer Journal as a CGI 2008 Special Issue. This paper only handles a lighting issue without framebuffer subsampling. You can get the paper (.pdf) and video (.wmv) at this link.
